Stephen Curry already proven to make Team USA
Stephen Curry | GS
(May 23, 2013 8:03 PM EDT)
Stephen Curry did not receive an invite to USA Basketball minicamp because he has proven himself already, according to Yahoo! Sports.
In the 2012 Olympics, Team USA got some criticism for not having enough shooting, but that doesn't sound like that will be the case once Curry joins the roster. He'll spend this offseason getting stronger and will be ripe for the picking in the first round of fantasy drafts following his record-breaking season.

Damian Lillard invited to USA Basketball camp
Damian Lillard | POR
(May 23, 2013 7:55 PM EDT)
Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving, Ty Lawson, Kemba Walker and John Wall are expected to be invited to USA Basketball minicamp, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Mike Conley and George Hill are also expected to be invited to join. The massive amount of point guard invites is really just a testament to how deep point guard is in the NBA these days. None of these seven guards were named to any of the three All-NBA Teams and most of them will be targets in the first two rounds of fantasy drafts. The USA Basketball minicamp is expected to start in late July.

Otto Porter could go number one in NBA Draft
Otto Porter | CLG
(May 23, 2013 7:14 PM EDT)
Otto Porter could become the number one pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, sources tell the Washington Post.
It does make a lot of sense for the Cavs. They've had a gaping hole at small forward since LeBron James took his talents to South Beach. Porter has a solid all-around game and even knocked down 42.4 percent of his 3-pointers from downtown while making them at a 1.4-per-game clip. His athletic game and a 7'1" wingspan make him a very good bet to go high and it would be a mild shock to see him slip past the Wizards at three.

Michael Jordan | CHA
(May 23, 2013 6:33 PM EDT)
The Bobcats interviewed Jazz assistant Jeff Hornacek on Thursday for their head coach opening after meeting with Lakers assistant Steve Clifford earlier in the week, CBS Sports' Ken Berger reports.
Hornacek is quickly becoming a hot name on the coaching circuit. If he doesn't land a job this summer, he appears likely to get one soon. The Bobcats are casting a wide net on their search, meeting with at least six other coaching candidates, including Alvin Gentry, Nate Tibbetts, Kelvin Sampson, Elston Turner and Clifford.

Report: Mavs will target Jack, Bayless as FAs
Jarrett Jack | GS
(May 23, 2013 5:27 PM EDT)
The Mavericks will be interested in free-agent point guards Jarrett Jack and Jerryd Bayless, a source tells Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Both players were integral parts of their team's playoff success, Jack for the Warriors and Bayless with the Grizzlies, who are down 2-0 to the Spurs. Jack and Bayless are also due hefty raises this offseason with Jack possibly commanding as much as $10 million annually. The Mavs are in desperate need of an upgrade at point guard and could look at Jack or Bayless as fallback options if they fail to land Chris Paul. One thing's for sure, the Mavs' fervent interest in free-agent guards doesn't bode well for incumbent Darren Collison.

Trey Burke hearing he'll go between 2 and 6
Trey Burke | CLG
(May 23, 2013 5:06 PM EDT)
Trey Burke said he's hearing his draft position will be between the second and sixth overall picks.
That slots in right where the former Michigan Wolverine was projected once he declared for this year's draft. Burke measured in over 6-foot-1 in sneakers, which was a decent-sized boost to his already high draft stock coming off his National Player of the Year season with the Wolverines. In all likelihood, Burke should be the first point guard off the board in June.

Dwyane Wade says knee worse than last year
Dwyane Wade | MIA
(May 23, 2013 4:35 PM EDT)
Dwyane Wade said his current knee injury is more painful than the one he played through last postseason.
Wade's injury was bad enough last summer that he required surgery in the offseason. While that's unlikely to be the case with the bone bruises he's playing through, it's clear the injury is extremely painful. Wade said his role will develop on a night-to-night basis depending on how his knee feels. If it feels strong, he'll take on more of an attacking role, but if the knee is weak Wade said he'll become more of a facilitator.

Iman Shumpert to work on PG skills in summer
Iman Shumpert | NY
(May 23, 2013 4:09 PM EDT)
Iman Shumpert says he's going to work on improving his point guard skills this summer.
Shumpert played some point guard during his rookie year but was used off the ball more this season. However, with Jason Kidd possibly retiring and Pablo Prigioni an unrestricted free agent, Shumpert could be asked to spell Raymond Felton next season. Shumpert also said he wants to work on his midrange game, which could go a long way to increasing his fantasy value next season.
