Ready to see the entire U.S. women’s volleyball team naked without any clothes on, as Radar O’Reilly would say? The roster for the 2012 ESPN the Magazine The Body Issue has just been announced, and it’s heavy with Olympic athletes, as one would imagine. Abby Wambach steps in this year for U.S. women’s soccer teammate Hope Solo, who bared almost all in the 2011 issue. Then there’s gymnast Danell Leyva, sprinter Carmelita Jeter and decathlete Ashton Eaton.
And more for the ladies: Rob Gronkowski will be in it, because he’s half-naked most of the time anyway, so why not go all the way and get paid for it?
More nudeness: Maurice Jones-Drew, Tyson Chandler, Jose Bautista, NY Rangers forward Brad Richards and the WNBA’s Candace Parker. The issue comes out on July 13.
The magazine’s editor in chief, Chad Millman, says they try to pick athletes who “just recently popped.”
OK then.
