Fathers and sons in the NFL
Peyton, Archie and Eli Manning
Father Archie Manning was drafted No. 2 overall by the New Orleans Saints in 1971 out of Ole Miss after coming in third for the Heisman. He made two Pro Bowls as a quarterback. Two of his sons also became NFL quarterbacks. Peyton was the first overall pick in 1998 by the Colts and was arguably one of the best QBs of all time before going through several neck surgeries. He has 11 Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl win on his resume. His brother Eli, was also a first overall pick as the Chargers selected him and traded him to the Giants. Eli isn’t far behind Peyton and may end up being better as he’s already won two Super Bowls and is currently in the prime of his career.
