2012 Stanford key players

All eyes will be on the quarterback competition that will name a successor to first overall pick Andrew Luck. Sophomore Brett Nottingham is the early favorite to replace Luck after completing five-of-eight passes for 78 yards and one score last year in a backup role. Head coach David Shaw has adamantly stated that the competition is wide open and that Nottingham will face fierce competition in redshirt freshmen Kevin Hogan and Evan Crower, along with upperclassmen Robbie Picazo and Josh Nunes.
